Each year, TIP honors alumni who have made significant contributions to their professional fields and to society.
Honorees are recognized at our Grand Recognition Ceremony at Duke University’s Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina These honorees represent the level of excellence and ambition TIP strives to promote and serve as role models for our Talent Search and educational program participants. Qualifications for each of the awards are listed below:
Distinguished Alumni Award nominees must:
- be at least thirty years old
- have been a participant in Duke TIP’s Talent Search and/or program
- have made a significant impact in the areas of professional success, community involvement, and/or Duke TIP engagement
- must demonstrate a commitment to maintain a lifelong relationship with Duke TIP
- serve as an outstanding role model for current and future Duke TIP students
Early Achievement Award nominees must:
- be younger than thirty years old
- have been a participant in Duke TIP’s Talent Search and/or program
- have excelled early in life through significant professional contributions and/or community achievements
- show potential for continued success by receiving recognition as an emerging leader through honors, awards, and/or media attention
- must demonstrate a commitment to maintain a lifelong relationship with Duke TIP
